{"id":6811,"date":"2021-06-15T07:47:02","date_gmt":"2021-06-15T07:47:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portal.workdo.co\/en\/?post_type=ufaq&#038;p=6811"},"modified":"2022-02-16T07:58:18","modified_gmt":"2022-02-16T07:58:18","slug":"1174","status":"publish","type":"ufaq","link":"https:\/\/portal.workdo.com.cn\/en\/ufaqs\/1174\/","title":{"rendered":"What&#8217;s the difference between approving and escalating requests?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #aaaaaa;\">FAQ-ID\uff1a1174<\/span><br \/>\nIf you are a manager in WorkDo, chances are you are assigned to sign off on employee requests, but <span>aside from approving and rejecting requests, if the situation calls for it, you can also escalate a request.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<h4><b>Request Sign-off<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>Managers or <a id=\"faqs-link\" class=\"ewd-ufaq-post-margin\" href=\"https:\/\/portal.workdo.co\/en\/ufaqs\/1153\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dotted-line managers<\/a> are tasked with signing off various types of requests, and when employee send out their requests, managers are notified to take action. Below are the different actions you can take to sign off the requests.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><b>Approve \/ Approval Withdraw<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>Select Approve and the requests will be approved and processed, and the next-level managers will not be notified.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"faqs-link\" class=\"ewd-ufaq-post-margin\" href=\"https:\/\/portal.workdo.co\/en\/ufaqs\/1173\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">If a request form is erroneously approved<\/a>, the managers can use Withdraw to cancel the approval and all the changes will be reverted back to the original state.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><b>Escalate<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>Select Escalate and the requests will follow the workplace workflow and send to the next-level managers for approvals.
